Hadley Sides, Chief ExecutiveHadley Sides has worked in both the private and public sector over the past 35 years. Most recently he was a senior manager in State Government and Chief Executive Officer in Local Government in Victoria. Prior to this he was the director of a large development and town planning consultancy firm. Hadley is an experienced project manager. He has been involved in all facets of the feasibility, tender, design and construction of both private and public buildings including large public/private joint venture development projects. He also has extensive experience in the production of asset management and accommodation master plans for both government and private sector clients, including those in the retail, industrial, tourism and housing sectors. His early career was in town planning and he has held senior town planning positions in several States including Tasmania. He has maintained his interest in strategic and urban planning throughout his career and has been a regular speaker on urban, demographic and housing matters. His past Board appointments include the Victorian Planning Minister’s Advisory Council and the Victorian Planning and Environmental Law Association. Hadley’s experience and interest in history and maritime matters (he holds a commission in the Royal Australian Naval Reserve) attracted him to the position of Chief Executive of the Sullivans Cove Waterfront Authority. Hadley has an honours degree in economics and post graduate qualifications in urban planning and business management.
